In the process of pulsed-Doppler seeker overall design waveformdesign is very important, which determines the radar seeker's performance ofdistance measurement and speed measurement. Surrounding concretepractical project problems, this paper solves mainly the distance eclipsequestion existing when millimeter wave pulsed-Doppler radar seeker isdesigned with high PRF waveform, and describes the contents based on theoryanalysis, simulation and engineering implementation, as follows: Bring forward the mechanism of the distance eclipse phenomenonappearing when we work for the waveform design of the PD radar seekeradopting the single PRF quasi continuous wave, and analyze the formingprocess and parameter law of the eclipse. Furthermore, a major achievement isthe study of eclipse phenomenon's influence on overall performance, such asthe seeker's acceptance range, detecting performance, tracking process and soon. Memory tracking is an anti-eclipse method, which depends on softwarealgorithm. It firstly obtains measured data at the period of the target cominginto the clear area, then forms the data's recursion rule, in the end, when thetarget enters the blocked area, it keeps tracking under the control of memorytracking program. In the paper we analyze briefly the applications of the á-afiltering and Kalman filtering in the memory tracking algorithm, and havedesigned the memory tracking algorithm. When we try to solve the eclipse problem, the alterable PRF techniquedepends on the distance information gained by the seeker to estimate theeclipse's state, controls the synchronous circuit via signal processor, andcontrols the PRF's real-time switch according to some law to make sure that thetarget echo is in the clear area as possible when it arrives at the receiver. The IIpaper has worked out an alterable PRF group's choice and switch methodapplied to the millimeter wave seeker. Aiming at many different alterable PRF methods and policies, consideringthe factor of environmental change, this paper analyzes the guidance system'stracking effect and precision, the PRF switching frequency's rationality, andthe target's losing probability, moreover, it makes an evaluation of the alterablePRF methods and policies.
