Just to long-distance diagnosis problems of the industrial equipments in networks environment, techniques of network-accessing (gateway) and equipment-diagnosis are combined together to propose the notion of embedded gateway which can be used to realize the long-distance maintenance of equipments in this dissertation. The information of equipments' diagnosis embedded gateway can be put on the Internet by using embedded gateway.Firstly some necessary functions of embedded gateway are analyzed in need of long-distance maintenance. The embedded gateway supports long-distance maintenance of equipments. And then the total structure of embedded gateway and implementation methods are proposed.Secondly, in order to solve the problems of implementation on multi-protocols conversion and gateway functions on embedded PC of limited resources, the multi-protocol maintenance software of embedded system is simplified. And then a new method of gateway long-distance assembly reconfiguration by using standard receiving-transmitting module to shield the difference was put forward, so the structure of the gateway is simplified, moreover some transmitting module of several protocols are designed based on the method.Thirdly in order to solve the problems of adding functions of long-distance maintenance of equipment to the gateway, embedded server of Web and Ftp and long-distance operational module of embedded database are designed and then the equipments status analysis module and equipments status extraction module are designed by using the reconfigurable ideas. In addition, to expand functions of gateway, a serial of remote operating instructions are provided in this dissertation.Fourthly based on the sub module integrating methods, the author combines all the modules for the entirety requirements and then constructs the whole system.Based on long-distance diagnosis of numerical control device of WuHan Huazhong CNC Corp., the author develops the embedded gateway that supports the long-distance maintenance of equipment. At the last parts of this dissertation, the author introduces some information in detail about numerical control device information transmitted by network and something about long-distance maintenance and support to the network.
