We present a new method for rendering high quality dynamic implicit surfaces. It first samples the implicit surface uniformly using particle fission and floating, then reconstructs a triangular mesh from the sample points using ball pivoting algorithm, and finally subdivides the reconstructed surface using 1 to 4 subdivision scheme to obtain the high quality implicit surface tessellation. For dynamic implicit surfaces, we make full use of the shape coherence to achieve fast rendering. The whole framework of the paper is organized as follows: In chapter one, we introduce background knowledge of implicit surface polygonization, analyze the existing algorithms, and present the innovative contribution of the paper. In chapter two, we describe how to use the particles to sample and control more complex implicit surfaces. In chapter three, we triangulate the sampling particles with normals using ball pivoting algorithm and employ 1 to 4 mesh subdivision to obtain fine multi-resolution fine mesh. In chapter four, we illustrate some examples produced by our method. Finally, we conclude this dissertation and discuss some directions for future work.
