The Integration Of Electronic Performance Supporting System And Web-based Learning Resources Management

Since the construction of Web-based learning resource is the core of Web-based education. How to manage and utilize the Web-based learning resources efficiently became the one of the most important emerging challenges to educator.In this thesis we designed a system named LRC-EPSS to try to integrate the Electronic Performance Supporting System, an integrated computer environment recently used in modern educational technology with Web-based learning resources management based on the requirement analysis of the resources user, administrator and learning facilitator.With LRC-EPSS the learner together with learning facilitator can benefit much in their performance improvement. The goal of integrate EPSS in Web-based learning resources management is create a people-oriented, high efficiency, learning and researching environment.As learning resources organization is one of the steps of instructional design, we can not ignore the learner's specific learning style, learning ability and learning method. The organization and management of learning resources should consider the interaction between learner and the resources. Learning facilitator in LRC-EPSS acted the role of using data mining technology to achieve knowledge from those interactions.The effort of this thesis of integrating EPSS with web-based resources management may be useful to instructors, designers, and researchers working with Web-based learning resources management in the future.
