Compton Back Scattering(CBS) imaging is a radiation imaging technique that forms the image of an object by measuring CBS emitted from the object while it is irradiated. It presents images of electron density distribution inside the object and it is applicable in such cases as the traditional means of transmitted radiation imaging fails. So many constrains encountered using CT have been solved with CBS and this technology can give some quantitative analysis about detected material. CBS imaging is a high technology in the field of computer application and image reconstruction algorithm is one of main research content. In this paper, three types of algorithms have been designed and analyzed, after that the optimal algorithm is obtained.Projection research and paper works mainly includes:1. The paper first includes the basic theory of CBS technology and discusses discrete computation formula about image reconstruction, then the optimal algorithm is designed for CBS 2D image construction and some performance are analyzed.2. Based on Microsoft Windows system and Visual C++ 6.0, detection software system is developed, which includes the data obtain, 2D image reconstruction and the curve displaying, 3D image displaying, image smoothing process, etc. 3. In this period of study, a lot of tests have been done and many satisfied images on different conditions are obtained in the last.
