This paper analyzes the reason that large machine results in the dead and injured trouble of personnel in coal mine. It studies on the design and character request of personnel safety detecting system that oriented to large machine in coal mine. The design of software and hardware about the system is introduced in detail. It also discusses the arithmetic of personnel locating and relative position matching by making use of the Pyroelectronic infrared Sensor. The concrete methods of the boundary and position partition, which are achieved by three Pyroelectronic Infrared Sensors, are discussed deeply and detailedly. Because the signal of output from the Pyroelectronic Infrared Sensor is a small signal in low frequency, when we make the design of the signal adjusting and processing circuit, it is an emphasis that whether the characteristic of frequency satisfies the demand of signal amplifier or not. There are two kinds of close-down modes, which include power line communication and close-down controller, the reliability of system is enhanced markedly. The protocol of infrared wireless communication is probed in detail. The infrared wireless communication circuit is designed to achieve the gate modulation of operating amplifier, which is used especially in the high fixing position. The individual function of study can improve the standard of intelligence. The key technology and its solution methods are probed in design from reducing improper warn, enhancing reliability of system, reducing power wastage and the special construction design of sensor system. Compared to other warning and locating system, the system has some merits, such as simple structure, low cost, low power wastage, exact location, flexible communication mode and high reliability. The system plays an important role in produce of safety in coal mine.
