The maximal advantage of Web Service is to accomplish the communication of isomerism platform, all systems that back up Web Service and its correlation protocols can communicate with each other. The communication between desktop report printing system and remote Web Service employs Web Service technology. It settles the indeterminable problem of remote report printing through the proper bonding the advantage of desktop application system and the advantage of B/S pattern. Thus resolves the indeterminable problem of remote report printing.The paper particularizes how to accomplish remote report printing system from design and accomplishment. First, in the development of server terminal, considering that .NET development platform is the best platform to develop Web Service and it is easy to develop Web Service with it, so choices .NET platform as Web Service development platform. Second, explores Delphi 7 as development tool at client terminal. The end report is displayed by Excel style and it is convenience to adjust its style for users.Synthetically applying Web Service technology, .NET technology and new technology offered by Delphi 7, the paper designs and accomplishes the remote reportprinting system. It is a try to introduce Web Service technology into remote report printing system. It properly settles the report printing problem of B/S pattern system according to its running examples.
