Study And Plan On Computer Networking Design Of Fuling Chemical Industry Joint-Stock Co., Ltd.

As the internet becomes more and more popular, the pace of the network technology development is much faster than ever before, and meanwhile the methods of network design renew and update frequently. This paper is based on the situation of government strong supporting IT development of enterprise, using the case of my participated subproject of which is CIMS (Computer Integration Manufacture System) application project of FCI (Fuling Chemical Industry Joint-Stock Co., Ltd.), named Computer Networking Design Project of FCI, then studied the practical application of computer network design method in the view of methodology of network design.At first, the paper introduces network technology, survey and especially the meaning of network design method for CIMS project's network platform design. Then, the paper states the core theory of networking essence, the Reference Model of Open System Interconnection published by ISO/OSI. Based on the theory, I try to establish the network technology knowledge systems of three divisions: media, protocol and transport. I defined the border of the three systems and listed the key points by my comprehension of networking theory, such as Ethernet standard and Premises Distribution System in media, TCP/IP in protocol and access-list in transport.Based on the network technology, the paper further discusses two popular methods of network design nowadays, top-down network design and hierarchical model. The paper also lists the essential rules of network design and procedures of design.At last, I designed the FCI networking project by both top-down method and hierarchical model after the analyses of customer requirements. And I selected the scaleable, high-available and valuable solutions for the project. My aim is to find out the appropriate solutions that can apply to all industries that need CIMS.
