| With the rapid development of computer hardware and software, high performance,high distinguish rate vision input device is invented. So it is possible that the machine vision technology is used in the fields of industrial automation, industrial online test, precision measurement and etc.At present , the gauge with pointer is widely used in the producing process. Generally, people read the needle of gauge with pointer by human eyes. However, some of the person's factors may lead to high data error , small reliability . In this paper, the author adoptes automatic recognision which is based on machine vision technology and powerful computing ability of computer. On the basis of analysis for adopted image of gauge, the gauge value is recognitsed. So the testing system for the gauge with pointer is suggested. In this paper the main algorithms involved in the extraction of feature parameter in the image processing are analyzed carefully . The system software is designed by Visual C++6.0 on the platform of Windows . Finally, lots of experiments are made and the results indicate that automatic recognition of the gauge is reliable to recognise gauge value and has the certain application value.Automatic recognition of the gauge by the machine vision technology not only reduces the intesity of labor but also increases the precision of reading gauge. The application of machine vision technology promotes level in the precision measurement. |
