Research Of Data Mining In Digital Library

Database mining, as a new technology, is produced to solve the problem of the abundance information and poor knowledge. Now, it has been applied successfully in the fields of band, market, engineering medicine and so on. These successful applications actuate more applications in other fields. Digital library is a digital information resource management system. The more digital libraries appear, the more valuable data mining is.Five parts are included in this paper.Part 1 Introduces the definition of DM, the history of DM, relative research work and the application in digital library, which includes structure mining, content mining and usage mining.Part 2 analyzes the nodes and links, the component of digital library structure, and the content of structure mining. It points out that structure mining will help to solve the problems of disorientation and to optimize digital library structure.Part 3 discusses the main process of content mining in digital library, the structure of mining system. Then, it analyzes some mining systems and contents, methods, process of text mining, multimedia mining and distributed data mining.Part 4 discusses the problems of the usage mining in digital library, including its value, its data source and its process.
