Gas is harmful in coal mine, and it severely damages the safety of lives of miners and national estate. Gas already becomes the first murderer which leads to Chinese coal mine malignant emergency. In order to prevent gas explosion from occurring, many monitoring methods and monitoring instrument are already used. Now optical interference gas instrument is the main method which detects gas in many coal mines. Though the method is correct and safe, yet it must depend on the manual method, and it can't monitor continuously the change of gas density under mine. The system of gas predicting alarming is designed by the paper, and it can monitor continuously the change of gas density under mine.The research of gas predicting is much fewer in our country and foreign countries. According to current state, system of gas predicting alarming based on fuzzy pattern recognition has been designed.The 16-bit ' nS p CPU microcomputer based on SOC is allied successfully in thesystem. And the microcomputer is produced by Sunplus Technology CO. LTD. At the same time, theory of fuzzy pattern recognition and knowledge of expert system are also allied in the system. The two points listed above are the innovation of this system. In addition, great speech editing function of Sunplus microcomputer is used to achieving function of gas predicting alarming.And 16-bit nS p CPU microcomputer based on SOC has some qualities suchas high integration , suitable expansion , very strong interrupt handling and high efficient instruction system.At the same time, In this system, the method of fuzzy pattern recognition is applied to gathering gas data to analyze and discriminate. So current gas density can be properly discriminated, and the system can accurately alarm, and people can take some emergency measures to reduce possibility of gas accident. Therefore the function of predicting alarming of the system can be achieved accurately in time.At last all function are emulated , and the results show that the system of predicting alarming can run in good working order.
