Software Design Of North-Finding System

The North-Finding system is one of the important applications of Inertial Navigation Systems. It uses high precision inertial sensitive instruments to construct a precise inertial measuring system. It can precisely measure the carrier's position parameters, get the carrier's information, such as coordinate position, azimuth and stance, and provide all the information to other equipments. The North-Finding system has wide applications in martial and civil fields.Aimed at a practical engineering project, the paper study the software design and realization of north-finding computer control system. The theory of north finding is first introduced, and the measuring method of north azimuth is brought forward according to a fast north finding theory based on analysis method; the hardware structure of northing finding system is introduced too, which provides the theory basis and hardware environment for north finding system software design. According to the function demands of north-finding system, software design builds multi-task software structure of north-finding system based on event driven mechanism in real time control system. Object-Oriented method is also used to design the graphic user interface and hardware interfaces, the system windows and interfaces are encapsulated in class, which provide the program with clear structure and high reliability and also enhance the reusability, maintenance ability and easier updating and extending. In order to meet the needs of network based information administration on weapon systems, this paper uses WatTCP library to design network communication module based on UDP protocol for north-finding system and provide network communication interface.North-finding system is a practical project which has been finished and put into use, the software as the key section of it realizes friendly graphic user interface, good control on hardware and outer interface, reliable communication and data calculating module. This paper is a summing-up of relative achievements of the system's software design.
