The paper studies the PIM (passive intermodulation )in base station antenna for mobile communication and design two dual-frequency base station antennas. The 3rd PIM is studied and given two models (linear model , parabolic model) to predict the PIM value by use the value of a special frequency. At the same time, the paper put forward some concrete advice on how to decrease PIM in industrial production. By use the T-shaped &L-shaped probe, the paper design a dual-band (870-960/1710-1880MHz) patch antenna which meet the requirement of VSWR, Gain-dBi, Front to Back Ratio-dB, etc. A antenna array is made by use T-shaped & L-shaped probe. Based on the dual-band patch antenna with T-shaped & L-shaped probe, the paper design another dual-band patch antenna with two L-shaped probes, which widen the frequency range (824-960/1710-2170MHz) and meet the demand of Gain, radiation pattern, beam wide.
