| The study on knowledge acquisition in intelligent information systems belongs to the cross-domain of the Artificial Intelligence and Information management, so in the process of research, on the one hand needing learning and exploring the technologies about machine learning, knowledge discovery and data mining etc, on the other hand also paying attention to the employing these technologies on knowledge acquisition in the related subject, especially in domain knowledge acquisition, user knowledge acquisition and expert knowledge acquisition. The paper puts the emphases on the basic principle, function and model of knowledge acquisition. By analyzing a typical example, the paper presents the advantage of the intelligent information system which adopted the latest technologies.Five parts are included in this paper:Part 1 analyzes the background and status quo of the studying on knowledge acquisition and brings forward the studying purpose and task of the paper.Part 2 discusses the primary knowledge acquisition technologies, machine learning, knowledge discovery and data mining, especially the methods of inductive learning, explication-based learning and nerve network-based learning. These form the basis of the following studying.Part 3 anatomizes the domain knowledge acquisition arithmetic and models in intelligent information systems, including text knowledge acquisition, multimedia knowledge acquisition and web knowledge acquisition etc.Part 4 discusses the acquisition methods of user knowledge and expert knowledge, and constructs the acquisition arithmetic and models.Part 5 analyzes the development trend of knowledge acquisition technologies, and indicates that intelligent knowledge acquisition should be a comprehensive technology, which integrated with the advanced technologies, such as natural language comprehending, data mining, knowledge discovery and ontology etc. In conclusion the applications of knowledge acquisition have a good prospect.
