Research On Component-based Software Reuse Techniques

The complexity of software and the program code increase rapidly, with the expansion of application of the computer, the increase of requirement of software and the grown of the size of software. In order to solve these problems, which are called "Software Crisis" by scientists, the idea of software reuse emerges as the times require. These years with the emergence of the Object-Oriented technology and the distributed object technology, the software reuse technology develops rapidly. Nowadays, the software reuse technology based on component is regarded as the most successful implement one in the software reuse field, and the available solution of solving software crisis.In this paper, we introduce some basic theory from reuse technology to component technology in definition, classification, obtainment, evaluation and administration, and expatiate the component implement technology and component analysis based on UML. In the end, we discuss the software reuseapplication based on component-Information Management System used forStudent Dormitory.
