Concurrent Engineering (CE) is the integrated and concurrent method for the process of designing and processing. It emphasizes on the integration of functions and process as well as information integration. As one of the basement which assist the CE, CAD/CAM should realizes not only the information integration from top to bottom area, but also functions integration based on the united, total digital module from bottom to top area. Technological assistant means that related information of production should be offered as soon as possible during the process of designing, which is the precondition to realize the intellectual platform, and also gives the production the characteristic of easy making under the given environment. So it can shorten the product cycle, make the cost lower, heighten the quality and the market competition.This paper is based on the idea upon, which is combined with the development actuality of NC and concurrent CAD/CAM, gropes for developing an intelligent, digital, integrated aided product platform under the basement of figure model. The main task of CAD module is to realize the function of drawing and editing. The key technique of figure's picking, capturing, and resolution to distortion in the paper are discussed in detail. As far as the modeling of the complex figure is concerned, the theory of NURBS method is also mentioned after discussing the raped and wide used method of Bezier, B-Spline and NURBS. The emphasis is the integration of the product data of CAD system and CAx application system. As the main characteristic of the paper, not only the STEP middle files are used to integrate the CAD/CAM system, the characteristictechniques are used to connect the devising and making, but some explore and practice in the area of information modeling are also made.During the research we mainly used VC++ and MFC class foundation and OpenGL to write the program required, and as to the integrating of the system's module, we used the technique of COM. OpenGL is an efficient computer program standard about graphics and third dimension scene. Combined with it we construct the modeling process of the NURBS curve. At last, we summarized the whole paper and gave farther conceive to the study.
