With the rapid development of information technology, Agent technology has become focus of AI field. Agent has good intelligence and flexibility, so it is suitable to solve complicated, distributed and unpredictable problems. MAS emphasizes particularly on the research of coordinating their knowledge, goals, strategies and plans of these Agents. The characteristics of Agent make MAS suitable to build up distributed system model. Currently, MAS modeling method which based on the Agent has become one of the important approaches and has a wide application in many fields such as economics, management and biology.Discuss the bottom-to-up modeling method of MAS and emphasize on the key technologies of MAS modeling such as cooperation of multiple Agents. On the basis of analyzing features and cooperation mechanism of multiple agents, bring forward 4 types of cooperation methods and describe the cooperation models and cooperation procedures with structural method.Compare traditional SCM model with advanced VMI model, point out inventory control problems in the SCM and explain the advantages of VMI model. Emphasize on the analysis to VMI system structure and cooperation mechanism between the supply chain nodes, discuss the feasibility of MAS modeling and build up the VMI management model. Agents in the model can coordinate each other to share the information, realize the information exchanges and shares so as to realize the system-optimized goal at last. Finally simulate this model and analyze the output of the program on the Swarm simulating platform.From the procedure of modeling and simulating, analyze the dynamic character of the VMI system and research the properties such as capabilities of cooperation, coordination and consistency. According to the results of the simulating, we can know that the MAS model reduces the total cost of the supply chain and amounts of inventory. The product shortage is greatly decreased and the simulation enhances the performance of supply chain so that the service quality and satisfactions of users are increased.
