Computer Aided Instruction (CAI) is a new instructional method, which represents a new and more effective instruction thought. In order to improve CAI's effect, it requires that CAI system has capability in knowing of student's learning ability, learning base and current knowledge level, and producing the optimal teaching strategy according to different traits of every student, by which gives specific individual instruct to every student. For this purpose, CAI system applies adaptive hypermedia technology to boosting the adaptive ability of teaching system, which come into bring adaptive learning system. The adaptability teaching system is a new and developing research domain.In this paper I designs and develops the adaptive Educational software-CDCAI on the basis of CAI's development and in view of the existent deficiencies. The main technology and the implementation of the software are introduced in detail. This research analyzes all the various method and tactics of self-adapting technology. It starts with the real requirement of Educational field in our country, former with the direction of theories such as Modern Educational Technology, psychology and Computer Science and based on researching achievement of the word. This system shows the learner-centered educational ideas advocated by the Constructivism as well as the individual and adaptive learning ideas of adaptive learning theory. The most difference between adaptive learning system and traditional learning is the realization of the interaction between the learner and the system, the system can present the appropriate content rationally, according to the learner's actual level, the learner can select the learning tactics independently.The main content as follow: (1): Explains the background of the research, some relevant research at home and abroad as well as the content, aims and meaning of it. (2): The second part consists of the theoretical bases such as constructivist learning theory, adaptive learning theory together with the software engineering theory. (3): Study the current situation and using area of hypermedia. Exploring and advancing the reference model of self-adapting education hypermedia system construction, make the analysis based on the establishing system construction reference model. (4) Expound the design of system in the fourth part including the design idea, functional model and student model with the use of typical module. (5) Using exist system construction model and user model, applying example of a hypermedia for proving the research. Finally, the author summarizes outcomes and pitfalls of the research and then images the assumption of the subsequent research of it in the last par.
