Research On Key Technology Of Application Server

With the development of software and net technology, component-based software development is becoming the mainstream of current distributed software system development. Accordingly, the status and importance of application server has been recognized promptly. It was claimed that application server was a milestone of the third class system software. Especially, component deployment plays a important role in the development, run and test of software component.There has not been the discovery about component deployment tool that can run on any application server platform so far. Current component deployment tools can only been used in a special application server. What's more, the majority of existing deployment tools were usually integrated in corresponding application server console.In the thesis, HHUCDT (HoHai University Component Deployment Tool) that can run on any application server platform is designed. HHUCDT can deploy not only standardized deployment units, but also main non-standardized deployment units.The following contents are included in the thesis:1. To elaborate on deployment technology based on a thorough research on J2EE Platform specification, EJB specification, management specification and key technology of application server.2. To expatiate the mechanism of the deployment tool based on a systems analysis on several application servers such as JBoss, WebLogic and Sun J2EE Application server.3. To design a deployment tool named HHUCDT that can run on any application server platform. To expatiate how to distribute, start, stop, undeploy and configure deployment units and implement some functions. To design uniform interfaces to deploy other non-standardized deployment units. To expatiate the implementation of HHUCDT.
