Information systems have an increasing effect on the management of governments and enterprises, in which report plays a significant role. The main tasks of information systems are as follows: completing the transaction processing on the operations and affording comprehensive and timely information services for the managers and decision-makers. How to purposefully process lots of data in the database is a hard nut to crack in the information systems. Report is an important means to solve it. Report embodies the value of information systems.Nowadays, report-systems of domestic and overseas still have some problems in the application of the internal revenue systems. To solve those problems, the eLiank-General-Report-System is developed. It works by separating the format and data of report. Namely, it provides the definition and maintenance of report's format in order to produce its framework for the users. At the same time, it can automatically gather and process the data of database in the light of the calculation rules, thereby generate the data of report. Then, it puts together the framework and data of the report. At last, the report comes into being. The system is researched and developed for the sake of realizing the function and performance of General-Report and fulfilling the operations requirement of accounting and statistics. In this thesis, the following issues of the eLiank-General-Report-System are researched: the EBNF(Extended Backus-Naur Form) definition of this system, lexical analysis, syntax analysis, the semantic analysis of assignment-statements and auditing-statements and balance-rules, the calculation of assignment-statements and auditing-statements, keeping the report balance and error-equilibrium after it is rounded off.
