In this paper, the author firstly makes an introductory review on informationhiding, digital watermarking technology and its applications. Then the author analysesfundamental principles of digital watermarking algorithm in detail such as the generalframework,classification and the typical algorithm. Based on this, a blind watermarkingalgorithm based on DCT is studied. The algorithm determines embedding strengththrough characters of Human Visual System, so the result image's quality is guaranteed.The algorithm is discussed in detail in theory , and experiment results show consistencewith theory. Then, an algorithm embedding bit series in image wavelet transformdomain is studied. The algorithm utilizes the model of Human Visual System in waveletdomain , the quality of result image is preserved. The generalized Gaussian distributionis used .The algorithm is analyzed in detail, and experiment results again show that thedistribution of image wavelet transform coefficients can be well modeled through thegeneralized Gaussian distribution. At the last, work of the thesis is summarized, and thefurther research direction is discussed.
