With the fast development of network technique and the buildup of informationcommodity consciousness, multimedia production is more and more easily accessed,juggled, and spread out via Internet. So the property right issue of digital productionarose much more attention. As a new rising technique, digital watermarking is graduallybecoming a reliable protection means for digital production. The robust digital videowatermarking techniques for video copyright protection and information hiding havebeen discussed. In the paper, we will research digital video watermarking based oncopyright protection. Two kinds of digital video watermarking schemes with hierarchical multiresolutionspatio-temporal algorithm, non-blind and blind watermarking algorithm, based on videoscene shots are presented in this paper. They are both based on digital video scenesegmentation and 3D wavelet transform. For any a host video, a video shotsegmentation algorithm has been presented to partition the video into video shots withdifferent scene. Then some key shots are selected to embed watermarking. For eachselected video shot, the watermarking information is embedded into 3D waveletcoefficient, it is to say that, and the watermarking information is embedded into eachcomponents of video sequence, including the static and the dynamic components. Inaddition, the spread spectrum technique is adopted to generate a sequence of watermarkimages during the process of watermarking embedding. Thereby, the existence ofwatermark information redundancy will be propitious to watermark detection. The experimental results demonstrate the effectiveness and robustness of theproposed digital video watermarking procedure against several video degradations andwatermarking attacks.
