Research And Implementation Of J2EE-Based Web Applications

In this paper, aiming at the problems and requirements of enterprise Web applications development, J2EE and .NET, two kinds of popular Web application platforms are analysed and contrasted with. On these bases, a multi-tier B/S distributed application framework with reusable components based on J2EE and MVC design pattern is presented. Hierachical concept and distributed component technology are exerted on this framework. It realizes the division of presentation logic, business logic and data logic. It brings the scalability, reliability, extensibility and security necessary to support the constant evolution of business requirements in the enterprise applications. The main work of this paper can be summarized as follows:1. A Web application model based on J2EE platform and MVC design pattern is presented.2. EJB, which is the core technology of J2EE, and various EJB design patterns are mostly focused on to provide the solution for the business logic tier.3. A specific system, Student Comprehensive Evaluation Web System(SCEWS), which based on this framework model and design pattern, is developed to validate the feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed approach.4. J2EE security mechanisms and Role-based Access Control model with dynamic constraints are applied to maintain the security of Web applications.
