The timing phenomena full of digital characters, is forming around our familiar physical city. This phenomenon is soaking into the programming, building, managing and serving of the city, and play a more and more important role. If we ignore it, we will loss the technology skill for the city's standing development.Digital city is the synthetically application of the information technology. Digital city have good applied foreground and energy, is the important segment of the digital earth. It is applied in all the management sides and economical sides, such as electronic government affair, electronic commerce, the smart traffic for the city, the basic establishment management for the government, information service for the public, education management, the watch and management for the city's environment, the management for the community and etc. The key technology of the digital city is the technology of the geography information system.In the text, firstly it introduces the aim and purport of studying the task, summarizing the development state and points out that it is have great significance of applying the GIS technology in the modern digital city.Secondly it introduces the interrelated technology of GIS, includes the definition, the contents for studying, the state of the developing, the mathematic mode. It importantly introduces the technology of analyzing the GIS-Network, and points out that analyzing the GIS-Network, is the basic function of the GIS space analysis. The core of the GIS space analysis is working out the short path -and the best path form the destination to the source. It also introduces the relation knowledge of the short path.Thirdly it introduces an applied case, the software of electronic graph of the digital city is subsequently taken into account. This software uses some important technologies such as the digital-format graph, MapX-integrated graph technology, integration of property-data and graph data and the analysis of theinternet route and etc. In this essay, from the characteristic of the city route net to the relationship between the routes, a reasonable TOP-modal of the net is constituted. And then based on this modal, some classic algorithms such as A* algorithm, are analyzed.
