With the development of the high power solid laser technique and the need of laser driving for the research of inertial confinement fusion (ICF), Laser facilities have been built with output energy increase to mega- joules and the optical path extend to as long as hundreds meters, the construction size of laser facilities have become large and large, at some time more and more optical elements were placed in the laser system. The influence to the structures from outside bestir become more outstanding, therefore the request have been upgraded for the stability of mechanical structures. In this paper we present a design for LD pumped high-gain amplifier system. Factors that have influence on the stability of the structures and method of improvement were fully discussed. The influence of temperature variety, vibration bestir, and stress distortion on the stability was investigated, as well as the optimized technique in design presented. In engineering application, good effect was obtained by applying the results to the LD pumped high-gain amplification system. In the design of amplifier unit, the structure of amplifier and LD pump source, and the cooling technique of the LD and laser medium were discussed in details. Main work and results are:1. The status of native and foreign large high power solid-state laser was introduced as well as the importance and action of mechanical structures stability in the operation of the system discussed.2. The factors that influence the structures stability were investigated, andthe optimized technique to improve the stability presented. Good configuration stability was obtained by applying the results to the design of LD pumped high-gain amplification system.3. In the design of amplifier unit, a novel pump structure was presented, and the cooling technique of the pump unit and laser medium were fully discussed.4. A novel high stable non- flexibility multidimensional localizer was designed and developed to meet the requirement of installation of components in the system. It plays a fundamental role in the modularization and stable operation of the system.5. Considering the importance of reflectors in stable operation of the system, a novel reflector frame structure was developed to optimize the standard reflector frame in laboratory. The stability of the reflector was highly improved.
