The quality of laser beam and the stability of laser power are directly influenced by thestability of resonator. Due to case deformation, temperature changing and other environmentfactors, the resonator of High Power Transverse Flow CO2Laser will be deformed in theoperation. Generally, output mirror is adjusted to solve the deformation of resonator. Aprecise adjustment and control system for resonator is designed to keep laser power andmode stable. The main content of the thesis includes:1. The overall designment of the precise adjustment and control system for resonator.To keep laser output power stable, laser power is sampled out from the rear mirror and fedback to the control system for resonator and electric current adjustment. Based on theanalysis of misalignment of resonator, the concrete structure of precise adjustment andcontrol system is designed. In this system, PLC is used as a controller, stepper motor is usedas a actuator and the rotary encoder is used as a feedback element.2. The hardware of precise adjustment and control system. DM2042E stepping motor,DMD402A motor drive, TRD-MX1024B incremental rotary encoder and S7-200PLC areselected. The drive methods of stepping motors and the counting methods of the rotaryencoder are completed. PLC controller I/O port assignment, the system hardware circuit. TheI/O ports of PLC are assigned. The hardware circuit of this system is connected.3. The software designment of this system. Adaptive adjustment mode and manualadjustment mode are designed. In this system, resonator can be adjusted both automatically andmanually. In order to achieve different accuracy adjustment, the motor speed can be adjustedby changing the frequency of stepping motor, and the angle per movement can be adjustedby changing the number of output pulses.In this thesis, the precise adjustment and control system for resonator is simple andpractical. Laser power and mode can be kept stable in this system. Laser power fluctuationrange is controlled below5%.
