Communication Symbol And Discourse Function Of Television Review

The primary objective of this study is to profoundly discuss both the pattern and symbolic application of television review by analyzing the organization, peculiarity and function of television symbol, combining with the distinguishing feature of television review.Television review is one of the important TV forms, and has been booming recently, which fully display the advantages of TV as multi-media. However, due to the long-term influence of newspaper and magazine review, television review has not yet reached the rational theoretical skeleton, which would show the television characteristics. Thus, this paper starts with the ontogenesis of TV symbolic system and attempts to draw an outline for television symbolic system, on the basis of the research achievement of symbology, linguistics and aesthetic psychology. Furthermore, it also discuss what kind of television symbols have the function of review and how this symbols organized and structure together, in order to fulfill the process of review in purpose.
