Design And Implementation Of International Trade Commerce Information Management System Based On Intranet

The rapid development of Internet has broken the limits in time and geographic region to transmit. Informatization, networklization and globalization of the economy and Electronic Commerce (EC) developed on the basis of formers have become an irresistible trend in the word. EC is a kind of commercial activities using modern information network and computer technology, Since EC developed rapidly in 1990's, it has been put into use in various areas of trade, the business turnover realized by EC has increased by exponential progression. The rapid development of EC demands it can connect with the information management system of company and form a complete commercial operation plan. This paper is to design and develop the international trade commerce information management system based on Intranet and to satisfy the needs of interior management of middle and small enterprises or the needs of simulation teaching.In the paper, discussing system structure of database operation, comparing advantages and disadvantages of three models (Terminal/Mainframe; Client/Server; Browser/Server), studying different methods of accessing Web database. At last, the three-layer B/S model, which uses PHP technology to develop Web database and applies Apache as Web Server, has been adopted. Combining with the correlative flow of international trade, the Commerce Information Management System based on Intranet is in detail analyzed, and a cross-area and cross-platform commerce information management system has been designed. It can realize real-time commuting of company's interior information, such as export, procurement, stock and inventory, transmit information in time, and also meet requirements of EC development. According to different management departments of international trade company, the system offers multilevel users access permission to meet the complicated need.In order to design a powerful and convenient system, using "tabular format" page layout and advanced web page layout technology (CSS, JavaScript, etc.), adequatelyconsidered all sort of demands from users, the efficient, elegant, convenient and flexible interface pages have been made. Introducing CSS to uniformly define the most elements of Web page, only modifying some attribute of CSS will totally change the whole Web page appearance of the system. Introducing JavaScript to improve the function of client's terminal and establish interactive Web page.Taking into account the needs of managing database, the advanced and popular MS SQL Server 2000 has been chosen. It is a high-power Relation Database Management System (RDBMS) especially designed for processing huge amount of data and managing data storage. SQL Server 2000 has a distinguished trait, which has high integration with Internet. The system based on this database management desktop has the advantages of safety, stability and simplicity.Because the design of this system is completely structurized, it can be conveniently extended to satisfy the more complicated needs.
