To measure the parameters of gas/solid two-phase flow has a very vital significance in the industrial production and scientific research. Electrostatic sensor combining with the relevant signal processing technology provides effective solution to realize the on-line measurement on the mass flow rate of the solid paniculate, so it has high research and development value. This paper lucubrate the transducer mechanism of the electrostatic sensor. By the on-spot review of Shenyang Thermoelectricity Plant and according to the real technology guidelines of the industrial field, the author designs the pneumatic pipeline system which is used to measure the mass flow rate of the coal particulate, and this system is put into the experiment function. At the same time, combining the electrostatic measurement principle and the actual working conditions of pneumatic pipelines, the author puts forward the design principle in theory and finishes the devising, executing, debugging, experimenting and analyzing the experiment phenomena and results, testing the feasibility of the electrostatic sensor to be used in the measurement on the mass flow rate of the coal paniculate. Furthermore, with the debugging and experimenting of the system, the author improves the electrostatic sensor and its signal collecting system gradually according to the problems, and makes the performance of the system to be enhanced remarkably.With the experiment, the author believes that electrostatic transducer technology has several characteristics as the new means of mass flow rate measurement technique: its structure design is very novel and can be prone to be installed, it is more suitable for the measurement on the mass flow rate of the coal particulate in larger caliber pipelines and has higher delicacy in the measurement on both dilute and dense phases. On the other hand, the electrostatic sensor has no reaction to the solid particulate accumulated in the pipeline, so the electrostatic sensor can obtain higher precision in theconcentration measurement than other traditional mass flow rate measurement techniques.
