First on the basis of general knowledge of DF technology and the limitation of DF by the form of antenna array, the subject of Interferometer Direction Finding is bring forward. Interferometer technology has advantages over tradition method in aspect of accuracy, rapidity, elevation measure,etc. and has found wide application in millitary intelligence. But there are also many problem to be research and solve and it is the aim of this paper.This article discourse upon the principle and system construction of Interferometer Direction Finder. However, DF pre-processing is not required in a Interferometer Direction Finder. It only makes use of the phase relations or differences of sensors disposed at different position. Azimuth and elevation are caculated from the phase differences or displayed directly on a CRT drived by the voltage or current from the phase differences. Interferometer is a typical phase direction finding system.Error performance of Interferometer Direction Finder with multi_channel receiver is analyzed and studied detaily and and a general formula is deduced. This paper provides two way of DF accuracy improvement: One is reducing phase error of the system and the other will be the broadening of system base. Anti-jamming capability of Interferometer Direction Finder with multi channel receiver is analyzed and studied. Measures for control co-channel jamming are given : Reduce intererence strength by antenna character , change gate level of receiver , alter DF bandwidth, make use of the pause function of display and a type of filter. We also analysed the influence of amplitude modulation and frequency (or phase ) modulation on Interferometer Direction Finder. General analysis are also given on coherent jamming etc.
