The statistics show that Chinese internet users reached 2,100,000 in 1998, 6,000,000 in September 1999,and 59,100,000 in January 2003, which will bring the enormous potential users of Information Appliances .Information Appliances control system is a new-style control system brought out for the necessity of the fast development of Information Appliances. Through embedded devices,applying many new home appliances technologies,it combines all home appliances in real-time and intelligent and offers a comfortable, safe, convenient living environment to people, fully embodying the perfect combination of the modern advanced technology and practical application.This thesis is mainly studied on the system of Information Appliancesbased on Internet. Its controller part is realized with PDA. PDA is small, portable and equipped with powerful function. It is not only used as the controller of household appliances but also used as the individual digital assistant. It realizes many functions and satisfies the requirement of users.Based on the hardware and primary operating system of PDA, this item improves the operating system of PDA to realizing the necessity of household appliances central control. PDA controller will work as aforehand prospect after it is designed successfully.
