Those wireless LANs based on IEEE 802.11 family are not secure as people wanted. The purpose of this thesis is to propose a corresponding solution for security. With SSID, MAC List and WEP, IEEE 802.11 has certain secure guarantee for information exchange. But SSID and MAC List need to be safeguarded by hand, the load for this work is heavy, and WEP technology is leaky. If the data is important, its own security practice is not enough among wireless data communication. With those technologies such as Dynamic Security Link, Port Access Control or VPN, etc., the security of WLAN could be raise further. But these security practices didn' t solve the authentication problem of the access point to the mobile station. All of these are not the thorough security tactics. The research focal point of this thesis is to research and design a project for secure communication between the mobile station and the WLAN access point. With key management and RADIUS authentication technology, a security project is put forward which could offer two-way authentication and session dynamic encryption between mobile station and wireless access point. Key management server could offer dynamic key that session encrypting uses, and authentication server could implement two-way authentication. The production and grant course of key were researched and designed.
