Based on analyzing various kinds of simulation languages appearing on the market now, the paper uses discrete event system theories and methods of simulation to program the procedure of the jobshop problem of forestry enterprises by applying the Visual basic language. In the paper, mathematics model of the jobshop problem has been made with graphic blocks, and the corresponding simulation arithmetic has been established. The simulation strategy that this procedure adopts is the event scheduling. Therefore, the main work focuses on dealing with the event table and processing the corresponding subprograms. For the convenience of operating of the event table and queues, link as data structure is adopted. In order to use the code repeatedly, the structure programming method is adopted. To make the procedure succinct, the problem is divided into several pieces of function modules. Finally, the jobshop of Harbin Guangjin Furniture Company has been simulated by using the program, some weak working procedures have been found out, various kinds of possible solutions of final decision-making have been put forward, and the performance of every scheme is compared. Because of intrinsic randomicity of discrete event system, every operation of simulation is one course of sampling. In addition, the random variables are produced by using the false random number generators, self-dependence is relatively serious. So, the statistical analysis of the simulation result is necessary.
