A Study And Establishment Of The Service System For Military Medical Information

With the development and application of Internet, information service organizations are confronted with both opportunities and challenges. Establishing the full-text database retrieval system based on Web has become a trend. Against this background, the service system for military medical information is designed and constructed.The research, which combines informatics theories and computer techniques, is extremely innovative. Based on a thorough investigation, the military medical information accumulated by the Information Research Institute has been classified and organized, and the content of this system defined. The system has been established by adopting the Browser/Server structure, with the TRS software as the platform of database and the ASP, JSP techniques as the generation methods of dynamic web pages. Consisting of two platforms: the user platform and the manager platform, the system has achieved the modules of browse, retrieval, supply and management of information.The system was connected with the management network of AMMS in February 2003. After some improvement, it works successfully and is characterized by the friendly interface, diversified retrieval methods, rapid response and complete output. As an attempt of the Information Research Institute, this system aims to promote the institute's information construction, satisfy the need for retrieval of full-text information and support the academy's innovation and decision-making in the area of military medicine.
