This dissertation is to study a new-style micro-distance sensor and to develop measurement equipment. Its principle is on the basis of ultrasonic wave theory; Spurt water column is the medium of ultrasonic transmission. Spurt water column not only is a good coupling medium of ultrasonic, but also can get rid of impurity, such as power, vapor and oil film on the surface of the measured object, so this sensor can adapt various environments. On terrible conditions, it is superior to other sensors.The velocity of ultrasonic transmission multiplied by the transmission time equals distance. Considering the velocity varying with the temperature change of medium-water, in order to improving system's precision, on-line temperature compensator is needed and designed.A new-style microprocessor-Atmega161, which possesses high capability, low power consumption, RISC structure and inner-carried FLASH, is used in design. It includes IK-byte RAM, 512-byte EEPROM and 16K-byte FLASH. It is rapidly extended and applied by its characteristics of high-speed and hardly possible lost. Atmegal61 has a UART, it can conveniently communicate with many meters, and accordingly realizes distributing measurement system.In data sampling circuit, high-speed, complex programmable logic device CPLD technique is used. High-speed double-port RAM, control sampling time sequence logic, CPU interfaces and bus circuit are implemented in CPLD. Sampling speed is up to 80MHz,sampling depth is IK-byte, and CPLD can fulfill the requirement of the software arithmetic to sampling. What's more, it can on-line upgrade, greatly improves whole performance of system.A new echo location criterion is put forward in design.This dissertation presents the measurement principle, the design of sensor, hardware circuit design, software function design and waveform analysis arithmetic.
