In this paper, it researches the software of open numerical control system based on component technology. We quest for the architecture of the software of open numerical control system. This architecture is derived from tradition numerical control system.It's important to note that there are three levels of openness that one can achieve in implementing a control system. The first level is "Open Environment Controller". The second level is "Open Environment with Common interface Controller". The third level is "Open Modular Architecture Controller". These levels are realized by vary technology. In this paper, it mainly reaches the "Open, Modular Architecture Controller". In this level, we use the operating system as the application platform, and take the component technology as the implement technology.COM is a platform-independent, object-oriented system for creating binary software components that can interact. COM not only enhances the interoperability of the open system, but also redounds to standardization of system interfaces. Ezcom technology is expanded from the COM technology. The application of the Ezcom helps to realize Chinese open system.There many merits of using component technology to implement the open numerical control system: Promoting some enterprises forcing on some special function components, dividing the work more precisely; using the component technology can also implement the three open level; and supporting the development of net manufacture.AbstractThis paper discussed how to implement uniform data/control mode for different control modes by using pipe-filter model; and mapping different control modes to auto mode; using system configuration etc to design the open numerical control system. At the end of the paper, there is a discussing on how to implement different control modes by using State model and the implement of Interpolation.
