For some three phase induction motors with load changed periodically in a wide range, the state of heavy load and light load often occur in the operation period, even the state of generate electricity also. If we Electrify the induction motor routinely ,there will be huge consumption of energy. In some former articles, some researchers point out that when changing motor's operation method, that is electrifying motor with heavy load and breaking motor with light load, can save energy effectively. But at the same time, with the periodic change of motor's load, the power of induction motor switched frequently maybe cause to have a large scale surge which can still constrain the application of the method. Combining power electronic device, there is a research of restraining the current by the use of motor controlled by thyristor to improve the effect of saving energy in this paper.In this paper, we mainly focus on the modeling of induction motor in the transient process caused by thyristor's switch when the rotor speed is one around synchronous speed, of course, there are also some questions of simulation along with the modeling.The main results of research in the paper are :1.According to the characteristic of motor's transient process caused by thyristor's switch, set up a ideal model of motor ignoring magnetic saturation which can meet any parameters and be used in the process of switch on in-phase or not by using the block of Simulink.2.Set up a normal model of switch and combine the function in Simulink to produce a set of model of thyristor by using the program .3.By combining the two model, we can add some control parts inthe model to produce a simulation software which meet all operations of motor in the condition including start-up, abruptly breaking, symmetry and asymmetry and so on .4.By the research of simulation of the system in all transient process, we find a elementary way to control the thyristor so that we can get some helpful results.
