Communication project has became more and more important and essential as the humankind has got an information age with the development of science and technology, especially the swift development of the cellular digital mobile communication has made it possible to make good use of time for information intercourse of people. At present, there are two trends in digital mobile communication, narrowband TDMA and broadband CDMA, and CDMA is under fiery discussion and further research. Investigations show that code division multiple access(CDMA) is the most powerful candidate of the third generation mobile communication system. The characteristic and quantity of spread spectrum address code has great influence and restriction to CDMA system performance and capability improvement. This paper has made primary analysis and research on CDMA spread spectrum address code.This paper has introduced the multiple address mode of mobile communication, type and characteristic of CDMA and the function of spread spectrum sequence, and analyzed the performance and characteristic of spread spectrum sequence (m sequence, Gold sequence and Walsh sequence etc.) based on SSC theory. Formative method of m sequence, Gold sequence and Walsh sequence has been introduced. The orthogonality influences of each sequences on CDMA system performance has been discussed and imitated on PC. Current characteristics and standard of CDMA system has been analyzed and introduced, and my own standpoint has also been expounded.
