| With the rapid development of Internet technology today , all kinds of application based on Internet gradually come into our life , such as WWW> ftp ^ email and so on, which have been absolutely necessary services. At the same time, the flow of Internet explosively rises. When more and more persons gain the conveniences of Internet technology, another problem arises--the net speed is two slow. It is affected by two aspects : bandwidth of Internet and the performance of the server that processes the requests from clients. With the development of communication technology, the bandwidth of transport circuitry will not be the main bottleneck of all kinks of Internet services. The performance of the services will mainly lie on the server.In fact, because of the restriction from physical memory, speed of the CPU and the operation system, when a lot of data coming in little time, it' s very difficult for the server to process all the requests in time . In the condition, the reply will be delayed and maybe some packets will be lost. In the most awful environment, that will results in sending of the packet once more, which will again gives more load of the bandwidth and the server. Measures have been implemented to avoid this problem before, such as adding the physical memory and increasing the speed of CPU.The requirement of the clients to the Internet service is analyzed firstly in the paper. Then some basic ways to enhance the service ability are introduced. After that, how to improve the processing ability on the server was discussed. Besides, a scheme based on Multi Computer mode is put forward to substitute the conventional single computer mode. Because Multi Computer process the requests from clients cooperatively, load isdivided into every computer. Besides the system keeps transparent to alliithe clients.After all kinds of ways of load balance are thoroughly investigated, a system based on Multi Computer, with the ability of load balance was designed and implemented.
