Research And Application Of Design Pattern

The increasing scale and complexity of software challenges software development dramatically. Software reuse has been seen as a feasible means to solve the software crisis and to improve both productivity and quality of the software. Component technology is one of the core technologies supporting reuse. Component-Based Development has been developing very fast yet has not redeemed its promise of reuse and flexibility. Comparatively, design pattern supports reuse at a higher level and is much more feasible in practice.This thesis discusses the design pattern as well as its strong support for software reuse and presents the Design-Pattern-Based Network Computing Model (DPBNCM) which relies on the popular J2EE and confronts the network computing. Furthermore, based on the CBD and the design pattern system, this thesis presents the thinking of reuse based on design pattern. Finally, following this pattern-based thinking, a typical web application - online bookstore - is designed and implemented using DPBNCM, which in turn shows the feasibility of DPBNCM.
