It has been widely recognized by the engineering technical personnel that using the method of power bond graph modeling to study the dynamic characteristics of system. But the complicated derivation process from power bond graph to state equation made the popularization of the techique restricted. This paper introduces an all-purposesimulation software for power bond graph oriented-PBG. After the indepth research on computer simulation technique for power bond graph oriented,it is developed with Visual Basic 6.0 as master development language,MATLAB 5.3 as computation engine on the basis of reference to similar software internal and overseas. The software can automatically deducate the character state equation from the power bond graph input by user,then put the result and parameters input by user into the ODE file which is required by MATLAB. MATLAB can solve the ODE file with numerical solution method of ordinary differential equation. So the timedependent solution of system parameters can be gained. To make ease the study process,the software can plot the curve of the parameters which user interested at.This paper lucubrates at the problems encountered when deducating the state equation of the system that contain nonlinear and differential causality,and solved the problems sucessfully with symbolic solution of algebraic equations offered by MATLAB. At the same time the software has offtered the fasted and high precision arithmetic nowadays,so user can solve the concrete differential equation more effectively.By the calculation of concrete instance,PBG has been proved to be a effectively tool of the engineering technical personnel.
