With the rapid development of Programmable Logical Controller , it became the most convenient and the most effective tools of solving the problem of automatic control problems in the line of Metallurgical. In The Cold Rolling Mill of WISCO, the TI series Programmable Logical Controller imported from German Texas Instrument Company in 1992 replaced the control system of its 50 old annealing furnaces, this improvement updated the accuracy and its control level a lot compared to its original state. But the competition is becoming more and more cruel, and the demands from the users continues raising, it exposes itself its shortage, it is those shortage that confine the raising of quality and efficiency , so it needs urgently renewed.The research object of this article is the TI control system of annealing furnace in Cold Rolling Mill of WISCO. The main intention of this article is the analysis, design and develop of PLC , based on digestion of the imported TI control system, applying sufficiently the advanced technology and equipment to update the old equipment, meanwhile to have a profound study at the control system of annealing furnace. This topic emphasizes on how to update the reliability of the control of atmosphere gas provision and obtaining lasting and best rate of air to burning, these are important and useful to keep the quality of products, the raise of production efficiency and decrease of labor.The research item of this file includes the below parts: the components and their function of TI control system; program design and the select of the improving ways of the control of atmosphere gas provision; program design and the select of the improving ways of control system of temperature of annealing furnace; the analyses and comparing of conditions in using pre and later the improvement, and the economic efficiency gained.The conditions of atmosphere gas provision concerns directly the quality of products during the whole production period of annealing. If there is some unusual there, it could cause serious shortage, and in some other cases, the products may not be certificated. After using the anti-logic method in the control system of atmosphere gas provision, it results in a good reliability and a good control effects,in the mean time, degrade the consume of equipment, and so, save the costs a lot. Another aspect, after the replacing the single control cycle to a cascade comparing control cycle, adding the separate PID regulating unit in its main circuit of temperature control, this improvement results decrease of affect of the fluctuation of gas pressure to the regulation of temperature; securing the best rate of air to burning, ameliorate the heat efficient of annealing furnace and decrease the labor of testing; it improves the regulating quality, hence update the over regulation during the temperature rising period and shorten the time of undue, ameliorate the production cycle time, updating the production efficiency.In this topic, my main task is the selecting and program design of atmosphere gas provision, and the study and testing of control of annealing furnace .The file will emphasize this part.
