With the rapid development of Electronic Commerce,its secure problem attracts more and more eyes. As the critical step of this problem,authentication becomes our focus. The thesis will discuss in this field. First,introduces the general situation,security problem and existed solutions of Electronic Commerce. Second,describes the conception,type and some mature mechanisms. Thirdly,introduces the effect and design rule of one-way hash algorithm used in authentication. Then analyses the security and speed performance of MD5,which is a representative one-way hash algorithm. Points out its limitation and puts forward improved schemes. Finally,analyses,designs and realizes the authentication mechanism of Electronic Commerce with improved MD5.
