The Research And Practice Of Homenetworking Framework Based On Middleware

Homenetworking is a new concept appearing in recent years. It is very necessary and important to study homenetworking.At first,this paper introduces the development of homenetworking both in China and overseas. The technologies of broadband access and interconnection are studied. Information Appliance and Residential Gateway are analyzed. Then the paper points out the homenetworking structure which regards residential server as kernel and uses several kinds of network technologies. In order to solve the interoperability of homenetworking application,middleware technology is introduced to design homenetworking application in this paper. The basic concepts and characteristics of several middleware technologies,such as Jini,Upnp,Havi,and etc,are expatiated and compared on a certain extent. And Jini is chosen as the solution to develop homenetworking application.The paper analyzes how to apply Jini to design homenetworking application. The solution about how to realize Jini in embedded devices,Bluetooth devices and IEEE 1394 devices is given. Then this paper presents some considerations about the security of homenetworking application.At the end of the paper,the project 《The development of Information home and Residential Server》 is introduced.
