This task is a national defence foundation project. This paper illustrates the thought and method of embedded TCP/IP protocol with hardware and software. The result can be widely used in modern measurement & control field. It improve the method of measurement, decrease the cost, improve the work efficiency. The paper illustrates the construction & function of hardware, the driving method of Ethernet interface chip, and it analyzes the construction of embedded TCP/IP protocol, the content of each protocol, each function module and programming details with flow charts.The hardware is a single board named NCEX, including embedded microprocessor Intel 386EX, Ethernet interface chip Realtek 8019as ,etc. The software is written in ANSI C, finishes the functions including the driving of Ethernet interface chip and the realization of embedded TCP/IP protocol stack. Its main peculiarity is to cut out the TCP/IP protocol according to idiographic requirement of measuring task, and only to keep the content of needed protocol. Furthermore, it optimizes the needed protocol to satisfied the requirement of embedded system.Besides above content, the thesis introduces a kind of network virtual digital voltage meter which is based on PCI-1200 hardware and graphical programming language LabVIEW. The paper illustrates detailedly the thought, methods and functions of this virtual digital voltage meter. Its finish makes remote voltage measurement and teaching through network possible.
