Computer pattern identification technology is a kind of applied optimization technology. The basic principle goes like this: taking the multivariate data during the complex production process as input-output information to study, extracting the variables which plays an important role on production result, and then expanding to high-dimension measurement space. In practical production, a group of measurement data describing the system input status could be represented as a pattern point of the space, thus the study on output-input information is converted to study on distribution state of pattern points of different input result in space. Then the practical production problem is abstracted to a mathematics problem and becomes identification problem.This thesis pays more attention to introduce how to use pattern identification and computer software technology handily to analyze the process parameters and discuss the optimization study during forge iron smelting process in a steal plant. Also a typical example as combining pattern identification technology and resolving practical problem is given by detail data analyzing process.
