Augmented Reality (AR) and Image-based Modeling and Rendering (IBMR) are the two hotspots of computer graphics in recent years. Through adding virtual objects,AR realizes undertaking virtual tasks in real scene. IBMR,on the other hand, enhances the rendering speed and reduces the rendering complexity in comparison with traditional graphics. But these two techniques still have shortcomings. To AR,it is still very hard to reach realistic synthesis virtual objects and real scene. To IBMR,it is still very hard to deal with dynamic scene. So our research's purpose is to kill these defects, and reach free editing real scene.First,we summarize the recent development in related research areas:VR and AR,traditional graphics and IBMR. Then we discuss self-calibration based on two photographs. We reach our aim via kruppa equation. Beyond this research,we perform realistic synthesis of virtual objects and real scene by taking radiance approach. Here,we use Monte Carlo method to compute form factor, and fast hierarchical radiance to reach realistic synthesis. After these two researches,we consider how to recover the lighting information in real scene. This time the research topic is inverse illumination and our method is based on shadow's specialty and Torrance-Sparrow BRDF model.Lastly,we study reposition problem of real object. We discuss the key problems and present our solutions.
