This paper, firstly, introduces some basic nondestructive tests , shows the background of the subject about the test for the defect of sucker rod, by comparing with the other nondestructive tests, proves the advantage of eddy-current test, then beginning with Maxwell equation in electromagnetic field theory and combining with the idea model of defect, this paper proves that the feasibility of eddy-current test technology in multi-parameter and multi-frequency which applied in the test for for the defect of sucker rod.On the hand of hardware design, by comparing with the traditional eddy-current method, nondestructive tests, This paper brings forward a new eddy-current testing method which uses strong excitied power,. The design means for band-pass filter involved in this subject is discussed and particularly, the steps and formulas for designing Butterworth band-pass filter and the method of design of equal inductance band-pass filter are expounded. This paper also give the hardware structure chart of 80C196KC single chip by combined with the design demand.On the hand of Data fitting, we use the reformative BP neural network to fitting data, and resolve the coupling question of the tested parameter smoothly, the reformative neural network is more effective than normal neural network.On the hand of software design, the paper firstly discusses the basic principle of software design, and makes it modularized, then gives each flow chart, at last, some questions that may happen in this test system and the solutions to them are presented.
