Infrared ground scene modeling deals with the synthesis of infrared ground images, in which digital image analysis and computer graphics are employed and the data of infrared radiance characters are combined. It is one of important researches in the field of computer simulation and widely used in arms test, infrared missile guiding and proving the performance of infrared detector.In this paper the method of the multi-spectral image analysis (MSI A) and random field models are introduced to synthesize infrared texture images. And MSIA and map construction model are adopted to generate static infrared images of ground scenes. With the technology of computer projection three-dimension (3D) ground scene images are obtained from the static ones. And the generation of 3D scenes is fulfilled according to the variation of the field of view of the detector. The image database is introduced to generate dynamic ground scenes.The adopted method of infrared texture images generation is a novel one, which builds up the relationship between the gray levels of texture images and the infrared radiance fields. The technique of image database provides us a new idea of dynamic scene generation.
