The research is derived from the commercial application project. In this paper, encryption module of the frame relay encryptor is designed and implemented. On the DSP+FPGA model, the key agreement - MTI (based on Diffie-Hellman algorithm) is adopted. There are 3 impediments in fulfilling MTI protocol by DSP: l.big integer operation; 2.searching big prime; 3. searching original root. The paper give the scheme of solving the impediments and fast implement with DSP. Key manager strategy is analyzed and designed. In the end,Finally, Rijndael algorithm which is used for encrypting data frames in the system of the Frame Relay encryption is studied , and tested. We analyze statistic data -variation of cryptic text when plain text or key change 1 bit, affirm the characteristic of the diffuse of Rijndael algorithm. A method of designing with hardware is given in this paper.It is proved by practice that the frame relay encryptor is a device which has a good quality of security, credibility and efficiency.
